On 31 December and 1 January the concert will be performed
twice due to the limited capacity:
all seats will offer excellent visibility.
An illuminated concert will conclude the 750th anniversary celebrations of Lausanne Cathedral in 2025. Symbolically, these concerts will not end on 31 December but will continue until 4 January 2026, marking the march of time for a building that will continue to defy the centuries.
Another ‘symbol’: these concerts will be given on great organs that are at the cutting edge of technology: fibre optics, MIDI interface, etc:
From the outset, the instrument was conceived as an interface between the past and the future.
On the visual front too, in addition to the laser projections that you have already been able to admire with ‘ORGANISSIMA & LUX, Nativité gothique’ in December 2023, Nicolas Hesslein is preparing
hologram elements. Contemporary technologies will accompany organ works from the 18th to the 20th century.
The detailed programme will be available from September on www.grandesorgues.ch and www.monbillet.ch.
