Francesco Alessandrini
A versatile and accomplished musician, Francesco Alessandrini earned a bachelor’s degree in double bass cum laude with Giancarlo De Frenza, a master’s degree in organ magna cum laude with Roberto Marini at the Conservatory of Pescara, and also studied lyric singing with Luciano Di Pasquale. He has served as orchestral double bassist, continuo player under the direction of James Conlon, Giuseppe Grazioli, and Donato Renzetti, double bassist of the National Orchestra of Italian Conservatories, and tenor soloist in Bach’s Magnificat and Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, as well as conductor of the choir “Le voci del Borgo di Città Sant’Angelo.”

As an organist, he has performed at various festivals: Messina Cathedral, Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls in Rome, “Arte, Musica e Letteratura a Castelbasso” Festival, I Concerti d’organo Riccitelli Music Society, Rassegna di musica antica Associazione Ensemble900, Vespri d’organo at the Basilica dei Santi Ambrogio e Carlo al Corso, among others. He deepened his study of organ improvisation with Father Theo Flury OSB at Einsiedeln Abbey following the postgraduate course of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music. He also completed a “Master in Ear Training” at the Conservatory of Parma. Currently, Francesco Alessandrini is pursuing a “Concert Master” program at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in the class of Jean-Christophe Geiser. He is the titular organist of the Ormonts-Leysin Parish.
