Gabriele Studer
Gabriele Studer studied organ and organ composition in the class of Jean-Paul Imbert at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, where he obtained the “Diplôme de Concert” with jury honors, a “Diplôme d’Études Musicales,” and the First Prize in Basso Continuo unanimously at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Versailles.

He further specialized in improvisation at the Conservatoire National de Région de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés with Pierre Pincemaille, then earned a master’s degree cum laude in organ and organ composition at the “Giorgio Federico Ghedini” Conservatory in Cuneo, in the class of Bartolomeo Gallizio. He attended numerous masterclasses with Jean-Paul Imbert, Massimo Nosetti, Olivier Latry, and David Briggs.

An active concertist, he performs in Italy, the Vatican, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Poland, and the United Kingdom. Passionate about the art of transcription, he has produced many arrangements for organ, including Alexander Borodin’s symphonic poem “In the Steppes of Central Asia,” published by Armelin Musica and recorded for BNL and Quantum. His discography includes a CD dedicated to the works of Enrico Pasini and participation in the complete recording of organ transcriptions by Jean-Paul Imbert.

He is the titular organist of Cristo Re Church in Alba and teaches organ and organ composition at the Civic Musical Institute “Lodovico Rocca.”
