Giulia Biagetti
Giulia Biagetti earned her degrees at the “L. Boccherini” Conservatory in Lucca and the “G. Frescobaldi” Conservatory in Ferrara. She further refined her studies with Michael Radulescu, Harald Vogel, Michel Chapuis, and Klemens Schnorr. She has taught organ and Gregorian chant at the Lucca Conservatory.
Since 1981, she has been organist at Saint Martin’s Cathedral in Lucca and has served as the titular organist since 1996. She has published several articles on historical performance practice and organ building. Since 1996, she has been the artistic director of the Camaiore Organ Festival, dedicated to Baroque music.
Her programs, often original, focus on particular composers or thematic concepts. She regularly presents music from the tradition of the Lucca province.
